Dr. Hadi Kargar is Professor at Ardakan University, Department of Chemical Engineering, Ardakan, Iran. Before this role, he served as an Associate Professor from 2013 to 2018 at Payame Noor University in Tehran, Iran. He earned his PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 2007 from Isfahan University in Isfahan, Iran. With a prolific research career, Prof. Hadi Kargar has a prolific research output, having published a total of 250 research articles and over 6000 citations. He has actively contributed to the academic community by serving as a peer reviewer for numerous national and international journals. He is a reviewer of 20 research journals, an editorial board member of (Current Organic Synthesis & Letters in Organic Chemistry), and editor-in-chief of (Inorganic Chemistry Research). Prof. Hadi Kargar has guided more than 100 students of M.Sc. students of various disciplines in their project work. His outstanding contributions to science have earned him recognition in the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientist Rankings from 2022 to 2025. Also, his outstanding contributions to science have earned him recognition as a Top 1% Scientist in 2025.
Research Interests
Dr. Kargar's research focuses on diverse areas, including the synthesis of Schiff bases ligands and their metal complexes, Schiff base complexes as homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, metalloporphyrins as homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, investigation of ultrasonic irradiation on the synthesis of organic compounds, and biomimetic oxidation.
